Nazaria Arts Collective is a grassroots digital arts collective working at the intersection of arts education, multimedia storytelling, and community activism in Mumbai.
Rooted in the idea of equipping marginalised youth (students, aged 14-16) with the tools, agency, and platforms to (re)claim their voice and narrative, Nazaria engages youth and women in sustained Community Artists Residencies, which culminate in the production of multimedia stories in the form of zines, photo exhibitions, short films, and more.
Founded by Teach For India Fellows Riddhi Samarth and Nandini Kochar, Nazaria aims to bring together the power of artistic expression and activism, to change the way we think of safe spaces, storytelling, and education overall.
